My best friend is a man and his name is Mike. The only trouble is, he lives nearly two hours drive away from me, so I don't get to see him that often. I have known him for nearly 17 years.

The female candidates on my best friend list are too numerous to list here

We know that I'm a drunk. I hope you understand that I am a person who is totally at ease with that. Which is not to say that I'm indifferent or I don't care, I do. It simply means that I trust and accept your judgment.

My best friend is female... and she lives 150 (norwegian) miles away... that will be 1500 km. only about 20 hours of (safe) driving (including breaks).

I don't really do the whole best friend thing. I know a couple hundred people IRL, though I do like some better than others. I get along with both sexes equally well.

I would say that my best friend is a girl, and her name is Ingrid, but 'I don't see her nearly as often as I should, and she'll be moving to Oxford this autumn.... :( But I'm very proud of her for passing the entrance-thingie!

So you're saying that your best friend is Satan, since she's his girlfriend?

My best friend (apart from my sisters!) is Elaine. I have known her 24 years and love her because she is the funniest kindest and most generous person that I know.

My male best friend is Victor, but he's in the army right now... Next time I'm the one to go to the army... I don't know whether I should look forward to it or if I should run in fear...
