Do you trust your instincts?

Have your first impressions of someone ever changed, once you got to know them a bit better?

Or did getting to know them just prove that your instincts were right in the first place?

Many times I have seen/had students whose appearances turned me off, but when I got to know them, they were really okay!

if there is one thing i don't trust it is my instincts... my opinions on people bounce around all the time.

my instincts usually ring true, but there are exeptions though. What bothers me is just as many times I realize my first instinct was wrong - and they really were wrong -, I learn that even though I thoguht they were wrong they were right. I trust my first insinct better than my second, but the third one usually is the one that always hits home.
Superstition brings bad luck.

I used to trust my instincts but recently I have been very wrong about people that I thought I knew and could trust.

My instinctometer was busted!!!

But I made an appointment with the doc and now my instincts are back on track. I hope

eeeeh, mine are usually correct. Not always, of course.

i usually go on my instincts .
but all too many times in the past they have let me down.
so i take my chances and see what happens
We know that I'm a drunk. I hope you understand that I am a person who is totally at ease with that. Which is not to say that I'm indifferent or I don't care, I do. It simply means that I trust and accept your judgment.

In reality I'm pretty standoffish to new people.(I've been described many times as snobby! - I know it's true but you don't want people telling you that!) It's nothing personal, it's just me being cautious. I can usually tell straight away if this is a person to trust or not and over the years I have to say I've done pretty well and not had my hands burnt so far!

On here, I'm worse! I'll only show my true colours to those who are what I would consider trustworthy.

I trust my instincts above all else, but sadly I don't always listen to them.
