that is one of the coolest things i've ever read. unfortunately i've said buffalo out loud so many times that it has ceased to have any meaning. It doesn't even sound like a sound anymore

Interesting indeed, but I still cannot grasp the word buffalo to be an action word. I find that rather peculiar. :eh:

Esau Wood sawed wood. Esau Wood would saw wood. All the wood Esau Wood saw, Esau Wood would saw. In other words, all the wood Esau saw to saw, Esau sought to saw. Oh, the wood Wood would saw! And, oh the wood-saw with which Wood would saw wood! But one day, Wood's wood-saw would saw no wood, and thus the wood Wood sawed was not the wood Wood would saw if Wood's wood-saw would saw wood. Now, Wood would saw wood with a wood-saw that would saw wood, so Esau sought a saw that would saw wood. One day, Esau saw a saw saw wood as no other wood-saw Wood saw would saw wood. In fact, of all the wood-saws Wood ever saw saw wood, Wood never saw a wood-saw that would saw wood as the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood would saw wood, and I never saw a wood-saw that would saw as the wood-saw Wood saw would saw until I saw Esau Wood saw wood with the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood. Now Wood saws wood with the wood-saw Wood saw saw wood

i like Nose Knows No Snows although i think i'm drawn more to the alliteration and anaphora within the structure than i am with the actual sentence. Syntax i like. Noses and snow i don't.

you and me too, ohlia, I just found out from the wiki article that 'buffalo' is a verb also, meaning to bully, confuse, deceive, or intimidate, as you could imagine a bunch of buffalos in a meadow, horny and confusing.

i thought you had to do that in the mirror 3 times. Bloody Mary is the one you just say it three times in the dark and she shows up to kill you. :)

So called because her friends all hated her. 'Who's that on the phone'
'tsch. It's that bloody mary again'.

She, like beth, really liked vodka. Unlike beth, she liked it with tomato juice and a dash of worcester sauce and tabasco, a little salt, lemon pepper and a slice (SLICE???) of gay lemon wedge and shuge stick of celery.
When she was really cool she would add some brandy also, as is proper.

surely a slice of lemon wedge would rip a hole in the time/space continuum?

Its like a double double double double negative.

And we'l have no more talk of this raping of vodka. it shoudl be pure and unsullied, just like god intended. Adding tabasco and pepper and shit makes it into a salad. salad is wrong

you've got to love his quick wit and sense of humor

I think meadow probably meant:

In folklore and children's street culture, "Bloody Mary" is the name of a children's game in which a ghost or witch of the same name (or sometimes other names, such as "Mary Worth") is said to appear in a mirror when summoned. One of the more common ways participants attempt to make her appear is to stand before a mirror in the dark (most commonly in a bathroom) and repeat her name three times, though there are many variations. Some include chanting a hundred times, chanting at midnight, spinning around, rubbing one's eyes, or chanting her name thirteen times with a lit candle. Bloody creepy, I much prefer your version
