I'm an idiot

I forgot the combination to my laptop lock and the part that the lock attaches to is still connected to my computer. I cannot remove the piece without having the combination, right? I talked to some unhelpful boys at Best Buy, and all they told me was that the piece is bound to ruin my computer... am I completely screwed here?

if i were there i'd have it open in about 2 minutes... it's all a matter of love and tenderness, and a small pull at the right moment.
my suggestion: go to a bicycle repair place, those guys MIGHT be able to help you since quyite a few bikes have a similar type of lock. or just try... there are only 9999 possible combinations.

Oh angel, I wish you were here to provide love and tenderness. The computer, erm, really needs it. Thanks for the advice, I guess I'll go bike shop hunting.

Empty your mind - then just consider what combination you would use re birthdays - numbers of lovers etc etc. I get the same prob but it always comes back.

See - yr not safe to leave here completely

There's always 1, 2, .............9,999! You can discount a lot!!
