Hello guys... I guess...

Postby Nathaniel » Thu Jan 05, 2006 1:52 pm

Ehm... I don't really know what to write/say... Erhm...

Anyways, I'm a girl from Trondheim in Norway, I'm 18 years old and... Well, I'm into Martial Arts... I've been thinking of joining a shootfighting club for a couple of days now, but I'm not quite sure... And the reason why I'm here is that Silke introduced me to this place.... :anxious:

Nathaniel - welcome to our community. Any friend of Silke is a friend of ours

Pardon me for my ignorance, but what is a shootfigting club? Is that something sweet young girls should get involved with? LOL

Welcome!

Why "Nathaniel"?

And is it true that Silke has hundreds of recipes for cooking penguins? *grin*

Yogi: Shootfighting is mixed martial arts, you can fight an opponent standing. using your hands and feet, punching and kicking or you can wrestle on the ground using locking grips and chokes. It's real cool :D

mdkilmer: Nathaniel is a new-system vampirecharacter I played, hence the name... He's real cool! And I haven't really uhm... checked her cookbook yet... She hasn't made me any food, and I don't think I'd like penguin....

To everyone else, I think I'll like it here :D

I lost count... I have none for pingwins named Pilvikki though, so your safe ;)

Nathaniel: thanks for the explanation. It seems as if you have a really good grip on things.
Is shootfighting done only with same sex partners?
Do you have trouble keeping boyfriends?

Yogi: I've just broken up with my boyfriend through three years, I guess I don't have trouble keeping them, I just have trouble keeping my male friends off my back... Shootfighting can either be done with same sex partners or with opposite sex partners... Sort of like sparring in taekwon-do, which I'm currently practicing...

My boyfriend is not a shootfighter, dear silke... My friend is. My ex-boyfriend doesn't work out at all and is starting to gain a beer-belly... Me no like... And, by the way, he's screwing around with a 16-year-old!

Nope, not really... I was just browsing through the avatars on the page to check them out, or maybe find out how to upload my own picture for and avatar.... And I found it and then I thought it could do until I found someone who could help me upload my own avatar...

Hey - don't just sit there and wonder how things work. We have an "Ask a Guru" forum that answers all your questions about how this board works. But, to save some time, I'll go over it with you here if you don't mind.

First thing to do is find an avatar you like.
Then make sure the size is no greater than 100px, 100px and the file size of the image should not be greater than 26KB.
Almost all images can be resized in a graphic editor if your avatar does not meet our requirements. If you need help resizing your avatar image, just PM me. I'll be glad to do it for you.
Once you have the image, you need to get it's web address (URL).
Right click on the graphic and select "Copy Image Location" (or something similar depending on what your browser says).
Now, open your profile, and scroll down to the bottom where it says "Link to off-site Avatar:"
Paste (use the Ctrl+V keys) the URL into the space provided.
Click the [Submit] button at the bottom of your profile page, and voila!
You got it.
