Are you or were you closer to your mother or your father?

Neither - my mother died when I was 14 and I left home at 16 to get away from my father. I have only ever been close to myself since then.

I'm an orphan now. I was closer to my mother when my parents were still living.

I was blessed with a good mother and a good wife. Nothing else matters.

Definitely my Mum, without a question.

My dad was the disciplinarian, so I guess my mom. I was close to both of them, but my dad died when I was 11 and my mom abandoned me when I was 14. I dunno.

well, that sucks!

my father got off the bus when i was 22 and it really stung as mother hadn't allowed me to get close to him. we're talking seriously dysfunctional here.

i was close to mother but i didn't always like her very much, especially after her menopause which was a nightmare!

I was probably closer to my dad until I was 10 and he died. I wasn't really close to my mom until I grew into an adult and had a child of my own. But for the last 12 or so years of her life, we were very close.

Definitely my mom. Since I was 9, I've only seen my dad 12 times a year at the very most, and each time it was like spending the weekend with a stranger. I've had such bitter feelings towards him for so long, and I know I could try to get close to him now that I'm older, but I'm too stubborn so we'll never be close.
Hope for the best. Expect the worst. Life is a play. We're unrehearsed.
