nerdy stuff

Post by Sandra »

Sometimes I think I'm quite "nerdy", I love David Attenborough infact I grew up with his programs. Anyone else like me  Do you love to learn about nature and earth?

i like this show called Meerkat Manor. it's all about these cute little meerkats and their daily family life. but once i saw them let one of them die and i couldn't watch it ever again. i catch it once in a while but it's so sad when they die!

Planet Earth is one of the greatest TV shows ever produced. It is a perfect demonstration of the purpose of television. David Attenborough rocks. Actually, I'm probably extra nerdy cos I have a favourite wildlife cameraman as well; Simon King.

I'm pretty nerdy, but I don't watch nature shows because it seems every time I pass up the channel there's a bloody snake on the screen. I like a lot of things the Discovery Channel features, like Myth Busters and Dirty jobs, or anything that demonstrates how things (especially cool buildings) are designed and made.
Hope for the best. Expect the worst. Life is a play. We're unrehearsed.

Sir David A. very much a yes.

My favourite nerdy-a-like however is Time Team. One cannot watch too much Time Team. Even rewachting reruns of re-airing repeats is 45 mintes of joy.
Don't you hate it being in an utter good mood?

Hehe, my very first ever bridge design took 1500 times its own weight (load - in kN) because of its design (it was shaped like a roman arched bridge....). Them romans were damned clever folk....

did the romans not import that from the greeks...?

where did the bridge go? yeah, i know... to the other side...

as for the discovery channel, the commercials! aaaaaaargh! and the repetition and stupid questions! you start to watch a program called "has nefertiti been found?" and each segment is preceded and finished with "who rests in K63? could it be the queen? has the mystery been solved" in breathless gasps.

like, duh!

otherwise i love the nerdy stuff!

bridges and ships are extra cool.
