Action: Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Goodfellas.

War: Saving Private Ryan, Where Eagles Dare and Deadly Dozen.

Romance: Jerry Maguire, When Harry Met Sally and Benny and Joon (these are also really funny but the romance element is the main theme).

Funny: Happy Gilmore, Dumb and Dumber and There's Something About Mary.

Thriller: The Usual Suspects, The Silence of the Lambs and Memento.

Musicals: Singin' in the Rain, The Nightmare Before Christmas and (the original) Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. (The Blues Brothers in at a very close fourth).
